As my tenure as PTA President comes to a close, I am amazed at how fast these two years have gone by. It has been a hectic couple of years, but it's certainly never been boring! I've enjoyed every minute and wouldn't have missed the experience.
I want to briefly (for a change!) thank the many people who have helped me the most: my PTA boards and all the committee chairs and volunteers who make our PTA the wonderful organization that it is; Dr. Crissman and Mrs. Pratt and all the teachers and TAs who have shown great patience, support, and cooperation; the "Office Ladies" who meet every request for a favor with a smile; the ladies in the cafeteria and the team of custodians who are always helpful and pleasant; the ladies of the Media Center who graciously share their space with us so many times each year; Teri Bacola, who single-handedly made our yearbook happen this year, as well as doing such an extraordinary job on our school web site, and too many other things to mention here; Angie Gaertner who does such a wonderful job editing the Paw Print; my husband, Richard, and children, Zack, Madeline, and Max, for sharing me unselfishly for the past two years. THANKS TO EVERYONE!!
I'm not disappearing from Apex Elementary, so I won't say good-bye; I'll say, "See you at school!"

Wake Education Partnership
Throughout its 23 year history, Wake Education Partnership has worked to provide resources to our community and the Wake County public schools as they collectively endeavor to provide quality educational opportunities for all of our children. They have reached out to the schools and the community through such programs as the annual Pieces of Gold and Gifts of Gold arts extravaganza, Triangle Leadership Academy , Food for Thought teacher grants, the Wake Education Summit , and the Wake Education Roundtable . They also publish two electronic newsletters.
